The O/L Sinhala paper is on Wednesday, 9 December 2026. Counting back from that day gives eight weeks, and this plan fills them with the topics that actually repeat in 14 past Paper I sittings (2012 to 2025), not with the whole syllabus in textbook order.

Every topic below has been asked in at least three of the 14 sittings. They are split into four weeks of similar size, so no week is all easy or all heavy. Each day: twenty past-paper questions from that week's topics, then read the explanation of every one you missed.

Weeks 6 to 8: from your mistakes to the paper
- Week 6: no new questions. Go back through every question you got wrong in weeks 1 to 5 and answer them again until each one is right twice.
- Week 7: two full Paper I papers on the clock, from years you have not done yet. Mark them, and add every miss to the list.
- Week 8: the list, one last time, and sleep. Nothing new in the last three days; the paper-day guide has what to do on each of them.
- සතිය 6: වැරදුණු ප්‍රශ්න නැවත කරන්න. සතිය 7: වේලාව සහිත සම්පූර්ණ ප්‍රශ්න පත්‍ර දෙකක්. සතිය 8: වැරදුණු ප්‍රශ්න ලැයිස්තුව පමණි. අවසන් දින තුනේ අලුත් දේ ඉගෙනීම නවත්වන්න.
Three things specific to Sinhala
- Idioms (රූඪි), proverbs (ප්‍රස්තාව පිරුළු) and word meanings are asked in every sitting. Ten a day from now to the exam is over five hundred, which covers what the papers repeat.රූඪි ව්‍යවහාර, ප්‍රස්තාව පිරුළු සහ වචනාර්ථ සෑම වර්ෂයකම අසයි. දිනකට දහයක් බැගින් ඉගෙනීම විභාගය දක්වා පන්සියයකට වඩා වැඩිය.
- Grammar questions (sandhi, samasa, subject-verb agreement, verb forms) are where most marks slip. Learn each rule with two examples you can write from memory.සන්ධි, සමාස, නාම ආඛ්‍යාත ගැළපීම, ක්‍රියා පද වැනි ව්‍යාකරණ ප්‍රශ්නවල ලකුණු වැඩිපුර නැති වේ. එක් එක් නීතිය උදාහරණ දෙකක් සමඟ ඉගෙන ගන්න.
- Spelling questions look easy and are not. Keep a list of the words you misspell and the rule behind each one (න/ණ, ල/ළ, ශ/ෂ).අක්ෂර වින්‍යාස ප්‍රශ්න පෙනෙන තරම් පහසු නැත. ඔබ වැරදියට ලියන වචන සහ ඊට අදාළ නීතිය (න/ණ, ල/ළ, ශ/ෂ) ලැයිස්තුවක තබා ගන්න.
Started late? Keep the order and squeeze it: weeks 1 to 4 become one topic set every three or four days, and never skip the wrong-answer list. The list is the plan.
